The rules of the game.

These Terms of Service govern your use of Bettrn (the “Service”), operated by the Bettrn team. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Bettrn lets you join time-bound fitness challenges with a monetary stake. You complete a defined daily task, record a short proof video each day, and the challenge pot is settled when the run ends. Bettrn is a game of skill and follow-through, not a game of chance: your outcome depends entirely on whether you complete a verified task, not on luck.

To use the Service you must:

• —Be at least 18 years old.
• —Be able to form a binding contract.
• —Use the Service only where the applicable laws of your jurisdiction permit skill-based contests with paid entry.
• —Provide accurate and current registration information.

It is your responsibility to confirm that participating in paid-entry challenges is lawful where you live. The Service may not be available in all locations, and we may restrict access based on your jurisdiction.

When you join a challenge you commit a stake of real money. Your stake moves out of your available balance and is held for the length of the run. If you finish, your stake is returned to you. If you do not finish, your stake is forfeited into the challenge pot.

Finishers split the forfeited pot equally, after the platform fee. The platform fee is a percentage of the forfeited pot only — never a cut of a returned stake. On members-only games the fee is 0%. If nobody finishes, all stakes are refunded in full. No outcome allows the house to keep the pot.

Settlement is automatic and final at the end of the run, based on the challenge’s rules and the verification of your daily proof.

You agree to play fairly. That means:

• —Recording genuine proof of your own completion each day, in one continuous take with the daily code visible.
• —Not submitting reused, edited, spliced, or otherwise manipulated footage.
• —Not using any automated or fraudulent means to complete or verify a challenge.
• —Not impersonating another user or creating duplicate accounts to gain an advantage.

Submissions that fail verification do not count toward the challenge. Repeated or deliberate cheating may result in forfeiture of your stake, removal from a challenge, or termination of your account.

Deposits, winnings, and withdrawals are processed through our payment provider. You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank or payment method. Withdrawals are available from your balance whenever it is not locked in a running challenge. Payouts to winners may require additional onboarding, including identity verification, as required by the payment provider or by law.

Bettrn may offer a paid membership that unlocks members-only games and other benefits. Membership is a subscription and is billed and renewed through the relevant app store’s payment system. You can cancel at any time in your account or store settings.

You agree not to:

• —Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• —Post content that is illegal, hateful, obscene, or that infringes another person’s rights.
• —Attempt to access, scan, or test the security of the Service.
• —Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service.
• —Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, in our reasonable discretion.

Bettrn is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Exercise with appropriate care and consult a professional before beginning any fitness program.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bettrn and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you have staked in the twelve months preceding the claim or one hundred dollars.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bettrn operates. You agree that any dispute will first be addressed by contacting support@bettrn.com, and that we will work with you in good faith to resolve it. For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Amounts held in a running challenge at the time of termination are handled according to the challenge’s rules.
